Focusing on our shared journey to carbon neutrality and innovative research into the sourcing of sustainable materials, The Macallan Horizon is the first product to emerge from this creative collaboration.
THE MACALLAN HORIZON
Look to the horizon. There you’ll find the future, and that future is The Macallan Horizon: a masterfully distilled single-malt whisky, matured and presented in an exquisitely crafted vessel. Soon to be a limited-edition product, this prototype is an aesthetic experience, designed especially for those with a discerning palate, an eye for beauty, and a passion for sustainable innovation.
AN OBJECT OF BEAUTY
Fusing traditional craftsmanship with innovative materials and cutting-edge technology, The Macallan Horizon prototype is a symbol of the union and forward-thinking of Bentley Motors and The Macallan. A sculptural masterpiece, the glass has been fashioned into a 180-degree ‘twist’ with brushed aluminium casing, all enveloped by the sleek curves of skilfully crafted wood. Meanwhile, a diamond-cut cap recalls the patterning of the luxurious leather upholstery and the trademark headlight design from Bentley.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Six materials that are integral to Bentley Motors and The Macallan have been brought together in the creation of The Macallan Horizon, each of which has been upcycled or repurposed. Among them are recycled wood and recyclable glass; copper from copper stills; and aluminium recovered from the Bentley manufacturing process. Meanwhile, the leather, which can also be seen in highly exclusive Bentley vehicles, is carbon neutral and locally sourced from Scottish suppliers, Bridge of Weir Leather.
