Made in Italy
Tuscany has been renowned as a world centre of quality leather production for centuries. Tanneries evolved along the mighty River Arno, principally between Florence and Pisa, taking advantage of the plentiful supply of water needed for preparing the hides – preserving, dyeing and transforming them into luxurious leather. This classic process continues today by highly skilled artisans, with the leather then being cut, fitted, sewn and stitched in traditional ‘pelletterie’, which are workshops trusted by luxury brands to manage the crafting of beautiful handbags.
Exceptional Hand-craftsmanship
With each bag taking between 15 and 20 hours to create, typically using up to 2 metres of leather and incorporating impeccably fitted handbag frames. The exceptional hand-craftsmanship can be seen by the cross-stitching detail, which is all executed by hand to precise artistry found within the interiors of Bentley cars.
Committing to the highest standards of Bentley luxury, the leather is produced to the age-fold art of Italian craftsmanship, bearing a hallmark of unsurpassed quality and excellence.

Mary Petre was fiercely competitive, entering the Monte Carlo Rally in 1927 and finishing sixth overall, covering 1700 miles in 72 hours without sleep. Determined, the next year she came second in the Rally and over the next few years, her and her husband the Honourable Victor Bruce, set multiple long distance records up to 15,000 miles.
